Auric is a vibraphone feature written for my friend, Dr. Matthew Geiger. Scored for vibraphone and percussion quintet, the piece was shaped around Matthew’s expressive and energetic playing.

With its title referring to the warm, metallic sound of the vibraphone, Auric explores a blend of mystical harmonies and driving energy, aiming to reflect the vibrant character of the instrument and Matthew himself.
